The recipes are meticulously created by the owner/chef Alejandro. He specializes in creative, savory sauces. We enjoyed the salmon and filet, which were absolutley on point. Alejandro, and his warm welcoming family, seem genuinely concerned with assuring that everyone has a pleasant experience. This is to me the ultimate sit-down Mexican food establishment because the recipes are extremely tasty, not greasy, and most importantly a good value. Highly recommended!

This place is upscale mexican - not your run-of-the-mill, covered in sauce to cover up the taste places you see all over suburbs. Service is great, guacamole and margs are outstanding, and the ambiance is very nice. I have been here for romantic dinners, drinks with colleagues, large work dinners and brunch with friends. Always great food. Try the filet or the special chicken dish (100 year-old reciped). The tequilla list is enormous and the choices for margaritas is vast.

Great patio area out front, love the live music, tons of great tequila; however for a hefty price. In fact, this is mexican food turned american food restaraunt that is steeply over priced, so much you have to pay for the chips and salsa and I was still a little hungry when I left as I opted out of the dessert...surprising enough, after you are finished with your dinner, you feel a little robbed! Something about places like this that try to over do mexican food is just funny!

We had a nice meal and the food was upscale and tasty...I wasn't concerned about a low spice volume since that is more of a personal taste anyway. The service got a "B" as the waiter took awhile to get to us and had to get off his cell phone to take our order (I couldn't believe it when he showed up talking on it!) I hope the water/food kid got most of the tip since he did most of the work.

My wife and I went to the Blue Agave Club on the strength of a recommendation from a local magazine; I want the author to pay me back for my meal. My wife's combination -- skirt steak, a chile relleno and enchilada was a huge disappointment. She said the steak was tough and stringy, and the chile relleno was one of the worst she'd ever had; even Chevy's was better. My pork tenderloin (suggested by the waiter), wrapped around spinach and pine nuts, was completely bland, save for the charred meat. In addition, the pork was grainy and mushy. The chef should have taken the cilantro garnish and minced it, then mixed with the spinach to offset the savory meat. One side dish, made of have over-carmelized half-undercooked onion strips, was disgusting. The other side dish a potatoes au gratin, was nearly tasteless too, except for the slight tang of the cheese. At 23.50 per entree, I expected richly, subtly flavored dishes. Instead, the best flavors came from the three varieties of salsa that came with the complementary chips. In addition, the setting was uncomfortable. We came at twighlight, and one of the heat lamps near our table apparently ran out of fuel midway through our appetizer, since the waiter couldn't relight it. So, my left side was slightly chilled all night. To cap off the night, some lout with a subwoofer in his truck blasted his stereo from across the street for the last 10 minutes of the meal, and none of the restaurant staff either intervened or called the police. Avoid this restaurant until it changes chefs and management.
